In Chronicles of the Sword, Psygnosis has delved into the King Arthur legends and created a rich storyline that brings the 5th century to your computer screen. You play as Sir Gawain, a young knight with aspirations to become one of Arthur's vaunted Knights of the Round Table. The tale, based on both factual events of the time as well as on fictional myths and legends, revolves around a central mission or theme. You must destroy Morgana La Fay, the evil sorceress before she can create havoc and wreak destruction on Camelot and King Arthur's kingdom.
Chronicles of the Sword has a vast number of locations to explore and is packed with puzzles, combat and interactive gameplay. The medieval ambiance is recreated in detail with a huge array of characters to meet who will either help or hurt your cause (including King Arthur himself, Morgana, Merlin, Lancelot, Guinevere), a rich tapestry of backgrounds based on real archaeological finds, and a plethora of mythical creatures, such as dragons, skeletons, faeries and even vampires.
Here's your chance to become the knight in shining armor, whose purpose is to uphold the standards of your kingdom and fight against the evil of sorcery which threatens to crumble the castle and send you back into the, well, dark ages. ~ Michael L. House, All Game Guide
