This PlayStation 3 80GB system includes a DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller, free PlayStation Network (PSN) membership, internet ready Wi-Fi, and 80GB of hard disk storage for all your games, music, videos, and photos. Every PS3 comes with a built-in Blu-ray player to give you the best high-definition viewing experience and pristine picture quality.

This version of the 80 GB PlayStation 3 lacks backwards compatibility for PlayStation 2 games. However, this PS3 console is backwards compatible for all your existing CDs and DVD media as well as Playstation (PS1 or PSX) games, as are all other PlayStation 3 console variants.

This console only has two USB ports and no memory card slots, which some other versions of the PS3 console have four USB slots and built-in memory card readers. Lastly, this version of the 80 GB PlayStation 3 has a smaller 65 nanometer processor chip, so it runs cooler and requires less electricity (keeping energy costs down).
